About TradeTracker

TradeTracker is a web based FOREX foreign currency trading log application.

Using the TradeTracker application, a trader is able to either directly enter their trades into the browser based user interface or import data from a csv file.

The application is configurable for use with different csv imports, i.e. data obtained from different sources in their native format.

The user interface enables the trader to query a database to display historical trade data by user id, account, begin/end dates, and currency pair, and have full create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) capability over their data, as well as produce trading metrics reports.

The transaction display can be exported to a csv file, or output onto an IRS compatible Form 8949 Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets.

"The only way you get a real education in the market is to invest cash, track your trade, and study your mistakes."
— Jesse Livermore, legendary stock trader
Why TradeTracker?

A Trader's Dilemma
After paying hundreds of dollars a year for his accountant to compile, calculate, and transpose hundreds of trades onto his tax return each year, the founder began writing the TradeTracker application specifically to resolve this issue.

Solutions Out of Necessity
"In managing my own FOREX trades through my firm, Longwood Currency Trading, I just knew there had to not only be a better way of seeing and managing my trading results than my trading platform limited me to, but also in reporting my yearly results for my tax return."

"As a senior software applications developer with extensive experience in building web based enterprise business applications, I created the bones of TradeTracker to resolve these issues for my own use."

"I went on to enhance the application into a more robust project to produce overall p/l, running balances, and trade metrics data into very user friendly reports to share with other traders facing similar issues in the backoffice management of their trading business."—Peter Rose, founder.
